Over the next three weeks (or so), I’ll be speaking from the eight visions that God revealed to Zechariah, found in the book that bears his name in chapters one through six. It was a time when God’s people had stepped out on faith and restarted the work to rebuild the temple. They were coming together as a community to make God central to their lives once again, but they would be tempted to despair and give up as they had done 19 years earlier.
This Sunday, we’ll be looking at the first, second, and last visions. We’ll see that even though it may seem that all of life around us is chaotic, God is still in control. We can trust that He will set things right, and it’s only through that trustĀ in HimĀ that we can find the faith to endure in the work that He’s called us to.
