As we’ve gone through the second half of Zechariah, we’ve learned some remarkable things about Jesus Christ. He is bringing in a kingdom that will destroy all wrong and bring in a new era of righteousness. He is both our King and our Priest (ch.6). Yet, he is a humble Messiah (ch.9) and a suffering Messiah (chs. 12-13). This Sunday as we look at Zechariah 11, we’ll learn that He is also a rejected Messiah.
In Jesus, God has provided for us a Good Shepherd who sacrificially cares for His flock, but if we reject Him as our Shepherd-King, we will be given a worthless shepherd who only cares for himself. One way or another, you will serve someone. One way or another, you will have a lord. We would do well to choose our shepherd wisely.

I bet it was going to be a really good sermon. Darn that music minister for taking up all your sermon time…Sorry.
It wasn’t the Mistress of Music. It was the Holy Spirit, and He can do that.
