This Sunday is a very special day for our church as we gather to celebrate what God has done in the lives of our neighborhood children through this Summer’s Sports Camp. We’re making a special effort to invite the children and their families to church this Sunday for Sports Camp Family Sunday. The children will be performing songs and Scripture verses, and 9th Ward native Christian rapper Corey Hicks will be delivering the message. After worship we’ll enjoy a potluck meal together.
I’m asking our church members to do three things:
1. Be ready to give our guests a very warm welcome. We want them to know that our church loves our neighbors.
2. Bring a side dish or a dessert for the fellowship meal. We want our guests to have plenty.
3. Bring a love offering for our summer workers. We’ll divide the love offering between Jenny Guillory, Jenny Savely, Jerome Battle, CJ Newell, and T Wright. With their leader Jake Bondurant, these guys have done a great job this year, so lets express our love to them too.
God is doing wonderful things at Grace Baptist Church. Please don’t miss out.
