Whatever you persistantly allow to occupy your thoughts will magnify your in your life.
I’ll give $2 to the first person who can accurately tell me who said this and back it up with some good documentation. $2 isn’t a lot, but times are hard, you know.
Anyway, it seems to have roots in Proverbs 4:23
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
and Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Not sure why I’m meddling with your church family post. But you do need to know that there are some odd people following you and enjoying themselves in the doing!
… and if I win the Grand Prize, I’ll donate it to the Dale Kids Happy Fund. Any lesser prizes just keep for yourself.
My first guess is John Piper.
I am pretty sure I know who said it, but I do not want to take away your money.
Wow, Bill. I’m flattered that you’ve been following my blog.
Jake, you’ve uncovered my true motivation. I want to know if Piper said it or not so that I’ll know whether or not to believe it.
The quote was actually from Dennis Kimbro in a book called “Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice.” (see pg. 27 here: http://books.google.com/books?id=FVzrAs16nCUC&printsec=frontcover&dq=think+and+grow+rich+the+black+choice&cd=1#v=onepage&q=&f=false)
Gerri Smith quoted him in her article. Not sure that he was implementing it for the same reason that it caught your attention, but it’s still a good principle.
Shoot! I’m just so proud of both of you that I’ll give you BOTH $2!
That’s just the way I roll.
