I hope everyone can join us this Sunday as we celebrate Black History Month and our God-given diversity at Grace Baptist Church in our own unique way: Soul Food Sunday!
But as we think about soul food, lets not forget the fact that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord (Deuteronomy 8:3). The true food for the soul is God’s holy and inspired Word–the Bible. As we meditate and study His Word, we find nourishment for our souls that we get nowhere but from God Himself.
Sunday, we’ll celebrate our diverse cultures through good home cooking, gospel music, and a special performance by the Grace In Motion Dancers. Please bring your favorite family dish to share, and tape your favorite Bible verse to the dish so that we’ll nourish both body and soul.

That’s great! I am so glad that God has provided for the summer. Thanks for helping T grow and mature in his faith. Use him all you can.

Thank you to everyone who made today so special… those who performed, those who cooked, those who set up, and those who cleaned up. I had a really great time today, and I hope y’all did too.

In reference to your request for thoughts concerning our souls mentioned in the sermon this past Sunday—-Our souls are in the center of our being. It is a place that God visits regularly and provides our being with a foundation and anchor for all our cognitive activities. It provides comfort and solace and it provides for our “groundedness”. It gives us a sense of well-being and purpose for our lives. It provides comfort for all the major events in our lives. We are always working with our souls to keep our humanness together. God caresses our souls and enriches our spirit daily.
