The Minister of Music and Youth Search Committee is recommending Aaron C. Ford to our church for Part-time Minister of Music and Youth. Aaron will lead our worship service on Sunday, April 25, and church members will get an opportunity to meet and talk with Aaron in a church-wide meeting following the service.
On Wednesday, April 28, 6:30 p.m., Aaron will meet with our youth in Youth Bible Study.
On Sunday, May 2, our church members will vote on Aaron in a special business meeting.
Aaron was born and raised in New Orleans. He was saved and baptized as a teenager at Elysian Fields Avenue Baptist Church. A senior in high school when Hurricane Katrina forced his evacuation, Aaron finished up high school and started college in Texas where he studied Music Education and Vocal Performance. Feeling the call to return to New Orleans, Aaron came back to his home town last January and will soon be enrolling at a local college to complete his degree.
Aaron has had lots of experience working with underprivileged children of diverse backgrounds with Young Life and The Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana and leading Bible studies and worship services for college students with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
